It's been over a year since my last blog. Now that we are in Charleston, SC, I thought it would be good to start writing again so family and friends can keep up with us. So here it goes.

We officially moved here Monday, January 3, 2011. We've been here 4 full days. Sometimes it feels like we are on vacation. I guess our beach house rental doesn't help with that facade. We have unpacked, bought groceries, and are starting to get into a routine.

The kids still haven't started school. We went through an interview process at the school we would like attend. It's called Palmetto Christian Academy in Mt. Pleasant, SC. Next week we will undergo assessment tests and then hopefully placement before the week is over. No one really seems to mind that they are missing school except Dawson. He craves school and is going through withdrawls! ; )

All things considered, we are doing well. There have been tears and frustration from all of us. We love our family and friends in Texas and will work very hard to maintain those relationships. We look forward to lots of visitors and will be visiting Texas this summer so hope to see all of you!

Our first blog entry.

Well, I'm finally entering the world of blogging. Can't say that I really know what I'm doing but I thought it would be a good way to share information and pictures of our family. We are quite busy and I'm not good at sharing pictures or keeping in touch. Hopefully, this will make things easier.

We had a fun filled Halloween, yesterday. There was a festival at the dealership. Hope loved the bounce houses and games while Dawson enjoyed the petting zoo. He especially loved the Chinchilla. I think he really wants one for a pet. We'll have to see about that. Last night we had several families over for hot dogs and chili. Then we went out to hit up the neighbors for candy. Bailey went to a party with his class at school. He said it was a lot of fun. I was glad he decided to go.

Today Don took the boys to a Dallas Cowboys game. They were impressed by the new stadium. They Cowboys won which made it extra special. Hope and I spent the entire day together. "Girl time"! At the mall of course.

I look forward to updating our new blog next week with more good news. I pray everyone has a safe and happy week!
